Welcome to the Sioux County Conservation Board. Explore 2,700 acres of recreational and wildlife areas in Sioux County. Whether you like to hunt, fish, camp, hike, picnic, or explore the outdoors, we have a place for you. We offer year-round environmental education programs, hiking trails, fishing ponds, and hunting grounds. You can camp at one of the 67 campsites at Oak Grove/Big Sioux Park near Hawarden and 4 campsites at Alton Roadside Park, as well as rent shelters, cabins, and canoes.
The Sioux County Conservation Board was formed in 1960. It is governed by a Board made of five members, representing each area of Sioux County. A board meeting is held the first Wednesday after the 3rd of the month at 6:30pm at Oak Grove Park. Any questions may be directed to the staff during office hours at 712/552-1047.
